It's beginning to look like Halloween....

I found these white, pottery barn, pumpkin plates last summer at a thrift store.  The white color makes it easy to decorate with the coastal colors in my kitchen.

Thrifty Halloween

Picked up these pumpkins, ceramic skull candle holder and ceramic lanterns for $2.00 each at the thrift store.  Halloween books for the kiddo 5 for $1.00.  All in all a good day!  Can't wait to decorate my porch for halloween.

Love these metal chairs!!!

I've been busy decorating the kids bedrooms this summer, which meant replacing their beds with two iron beds. I had this left over headboard and footboard from Patrick's old bed.

After showing him the plans my crafty husband made this bench in one afternoon! I painted it and antiqued it.  It now sits on my new patio and it is one of  my favorite pieces!

I have been waiting....

Flea Market Finds~Ole Brook Festival Flea Market, Brookhaven, MS 2011.

I love this old tin ceiling tile turned into a picture frame. I bought this from the Vendor's Emporium booth. The iced tea decanter and the antique scale was purchased from a sweet lady that used to own the old Meadville Cafe'. The Work Hard and Be Nice came from J. Allan's in downtown Brookhaven.

Old Windows

I wanted to do something different with my old window panes. I painted the frame a pretty pink :) I wrote a Bible verse with a hot glue gun and then painted over the glass and glue with silver and gold paint.  I added the intial P to the corner. I love the way it turned out. The pictures don't do it justice.

Pretty Pink Birds I found for $1.00 in Picayune, MS

Piper's Room

It has been a while since my last post! I have been super busy decorating Piper's room. Here are a few pictures of our progress!
As you can see just about everything is pink!!! The centerpiece of the room is the black iron bed. It belonged to Piper's Great-Great Grandmother. We sanded the rust off, primed it and painted it black! I am on the hunt for perfect pink Chenille bedspread!
